曹治国是华中科技大学人工智能与自动化学院的教授,主要研究方向包括图像理解与分析、深度信息提取与真三维视频处理、运动检测与行为分析等。他曾任华中科技大学图像所所长,2012年8月,图像所并入自动化学院,曹治国担任自动化学院院长。

曹治国,现为华中科技大学人工智能与自动化学院教授、博士生导师、中国自动化学会高级会员、湖北省人工智能学会副理事长,研究方向是图像理解与分析、深度信息提取与真三维视频处理、运动检测与行为分析等。
2012年12月28日,华中科技大学自动化学院成立之后,被官方任命为华中科技大学自动化学院院长.

1981--1985年,电子科技大学学习,电子工程专业,本科生,获学士,
1987--1990年,电子科技大学学习,通信与电子系统专业,研究生,获硕士学位,
1990—至今,华中科技大学,教师,并于2001年获华中科技大学模式识别与智能系统专业博士学位.

科研情况:作为项目负责人先后承担了省部级预先研究项目、省部级重点与面上预研 基金、航天基金、国家重点预研、重大预研攻关项目、863课题及科研院所的横向项目、作为主要参加人员先后承担了国家自然科学基金重点与面上项目、973计划项目等共计30余项课题的研究,涉及图像处理与匹配、自动目标识别、医学图像分析、遥感图像处理等方面。
科研获奖:2006年获教育部科技进步一等奖1项,2006年获国防科学技术二等奖1项、三等奖2项,2005年获国防科学技术二等奖1项, 2003年获河南省科技进步二等奖1项, 1999年获国家教育部科技进步一等奖1项,1997年获航天工业总公司科技进步二等奖1项,国家教委科技进步二等奖1项。
实验室软硬件条件:所在的图像分析与智能系统实验室拥有实验用房近400平方米,拥有微机100余台套,拥有逻辑分析仪、数字存储示波器、TI和AD公司的DSP开发系统等硬件调试设备和EDA软件及图像处理软件和其他计算软件等,所在的图像识别与人工智能研究所拥有中心机房,能提供不同谱段的图像获取、数据采集等设备,拥有三自由度转台、智能机械手和三维建模及图像仿真等软件,为课题研究提供了一流的设备、手段和环境。
