内容简介
本版教材是通过引进版权改编出版，供临床医学留学生和长学制医学生、研究生、医学本科生英语或双语教学使用。本教材对原版书的编写框架予以保留，将耳科学、鼻科学、咽喉科学、头颈外科学各部分内容依次顺延，按照应用解剖、生理学、症状学、检查法、先天性疾病、炎症性疾病、肿瘤、外伤等顺序编排。书末附有中英文词汇对照表临床常用短语英文 -拼音 -中文对照表。本版教材是清华大学出版社由国外出版社引进版权，并改编出版，以满足我国的临床医学专业留学生课堂教学和临床实习需要，供临床医学留学生和七年制或八年制医学生、研究生、医学本科生英语或双语教学使用。本教材对原版书的编写框架予以保留。按照国际一般教材及参考书编写惯例，将耳科学、鼻科学、咽喉科学、头颈外科学各部分内容依次顺延，按照应用解剖、生理学、症状学、检查法、先天性疾病、炎症性疾病、肿瘤、外伤等顺序编排，便于学生理解和自学。书末附有中英文词汇对照表，便于学生学习专业词汇。本教材的插图除原始照片外，仍采用彩色，增强视觉效果，便于理解。
前言
1997年天津医科大学成立国际医学院，率先创建了留学生全程英文教学，并设有教育部来华留学医学英语教学师资培训中心。目前天津医科大学留学生生源国达到56个，在校留学生1200余人。天津医科大学已经自编了《耳鼻咽喉科学》英文教材两版（1997版，2005版）。所编教材在全国医学高等院校来华留学生教育教学领域里具有代表性。
本教材编委是由我国长期从事来华留学生医学教育的教授、学者，以及长期工作在教学、科研和临床一线的经验丰富的耳鼻咽喉科专家组成（包括归国留学人员）。本教材为来华留学医学生量身定制，保留地道的医学专业英语，以简明、实用、够用为度，根据教育部培养留学生的教学目标、教学计划、实践能力等的要求改编，掌握和熟悉的内容与教学学时一致，少部分提高内容留待自学或拓展用。本教材后附有老师们根据多年医学留学生教学的经验自编的英文-拼音-中文对照常见症状问诊要点，方便留学生的临床实践应用。
本教材各位编委通力协作，提供大量实例照片。编委所在医院及科室的同事们提供了极大的支持和帮助。天津医科大学总医院耳鼻喉科医生参与了稿件的整理工作，借此教材出版之际，我们一并致以深深的谢意。医学科学诊疗进展日新月异，临床医学教学需不断创新和知识更新，本教材编写难免存在纰漏与瑕，望各位领导、同道及师生不吝赐教，以便本教材不断完善。
